Principles of Isometric Exercises

Main Differences between Sports Exercises and Isometric Exercises

1. In SE the dynamics is being suggested. The isometric exercises are devoid of the dynamics.

2. In SE the exercises are repeated rapidly and with effort. At first they are easy, but then they are getting harder and harder. In IE there is one and only posture which is always hard to take. It is taken slowly and it is stayed in for a relatively long time.

3. In SE contractions and stretchings are alternated. In IE a slow contraction of particular muscle group happens only once and then follows the overall relaxation.

4. In SE mostly the muscles are tensed up. In IE the glands are tensed up.

5. The SE goal is the muscle building. The IE goal is the maximalisation of innervation. The muscle building is just a result of the organism's energetisation.

Main Principles of Exercising

1. It is essential to concentrate all the attention upon the working muscle or muscle group.

2. Do not hasten increasing the number of exercises and their dosages.

3. While exercising observe the proper respiration.

4. Every movement should be made with the maximum muscle tension.

5. While exercising try only for the muscles enabled in the movement to tense up.

6. It is advisable to exercise in front of the mirror.

7. After you finish exercising, take a shower and rub your body with a towel energetically.

8. One of the pledges for success is the abstinence and simplicity in the diet. The diet should be diverse (vegetables, fruits, milk), no overeating of meat. The belief that one should include a great amount of meat in their diet in order to gain muscles is faulty.
